Not what I expected

Not so good on 2 counts. First, it does not seem to work consistently on either a 1 minute or 3-minute timer. It is almost random, but closer to 5 minutes (when set at 3). 2nd, and most importantly, the Sanctuary scent actually spooked the deer and sent them running. They were coming into their normal feeding spot (a doe and a buck). They stopped when they smelled it; very wet nostrils and some head bobbing. They then spooked and ran off. The scent was the only thing moving. I turned it off (paused it with the remote). About an hour later, the same deer returned as part of a larger group. With it off, no deer even approached it, but they were not spooked and continued feeding. I will try this one more time and place. If it doesn't work it is headed for the trash as an expensive mistake.

Effective scent masking

Easy to use. Keep extra batteries on hand. It uses 3 fairly quickly.
Deer seem more relaxed with it.
